• Global charring with extensive body mutilation
• Perimortal crush injury of the right thorax
• No gunshot wounds discernable
• Cardiovascular disease
• Cause of death:
  • Thermal burns and inhalation of smoke due to fire
  • Global charring
  • Perimortal crush injury, right chest

  Comment:

  • The autopsy does not include an estimate of the time of death.

II. The FBI's October 8, 1993 Report to the Deputy Attorney General on the Events at Waco, Texas (cached)

Summary and Comment: The DOJ Report states:

• Identified Branch Davidians From April 19 Fire … Floyd Houtman … died of smoke and burns from the fire.  His body was found in the auditorium area.  He was identified from dental records.  He was 61 years old.
