Summary and Comment: The autopsy report states:

• Global charring with extensive body mutilation
• No gunshot wounds discernible
• No significant evidence of natural disease processes
• Cause of death:
  • Thermal burns due to fire
  • Global charring

The autopsy does not include an estimate of the time of death.

II. The FBI's October 8, 1993 Report to the Deputy Attorney General on the Events at Waco, Texas (cached)

Summary and Comment: The DOJ Report states:

• Identified Branch Davidians From April 19 Fire … Mark Wendel … died of burns from the fire.  His body was found in the communications room, along with Koresh and Schneider.  He was identified from X-rays.  He was 37 years old.
