Summary: The autopsy report states:

• Adult Caucasian male, 48 yrs.
• Entry gunshot wound of mouth (posterior pharynx) with exit of mid-occipital skull
• Global charring with extensive body mutilation
• The distal extremities (hands) are absent secondary to charring and heat destruction (pg. 3)
• Cause of death:
  • Craniocerebral trauma due to gunshot wound of mouth

Comment:

• The FBI conducted a fingerprint examination on this corpse with no hands (pg. 7)
• The autopsy does not include an estimate of the time of death.

II. The FBI's October 8, 1993 Report to the Deputy Attorney General on the Events at Waco, Texas (cached)

Summary and Comment: The DOJ Report states:

• Identified Branch Davidians From April 19 Fire … Steve Schneider … died of a gunshot wound to the mouth.  His body was also found in the communication room.  He was identified from dental records.  He was 48 years old.
