• Asphyxiation (smoke and carbon monoxide)
• Global charring with extensive body mutilation and somatic fragmentation
• No gunshot wounds discernible
• No evidence of significant natural disease processes
• Cause of death:
  • Inhalation of smoke and carbon monoxide due to fire
  • Global charring

  Comment:

  • The autopsy does not include an estimate of the time of death.

II. The FBI's October 8, 1993 Report to the Deputy Attorney General on the Events at Waco, Texas (cached)

Summary and Comment: The DOJ Report states:

• Unidentified Branch Davidians From April 19 Fire … Doe 9, an approximately 50 year old male, died of smoke and carbon monoxide inhalation.  His body was found in the kitchen/serving area.
