What About the Explosion? - Figure D18-2: When the Waco Tribune-Herald reported the fire in a special edition, the report contained a sub-heading: "At least one explosion." But there was no text in the body of the article to support the sub-heading. Perhaps that text about the explosion was deleted at the last minute by an editor who neglected to also remove the sub-heading. In the image above, the sub-heading from the right column is magnified for visibility. The power of that explosion can be appreciated when we recall that the on-site reporter who witnessed and reported it was two miles away in the "satellite city," as told in the article, "What's to Negotiate?."
